A pitch transformed into a place of prayer
As the sun rose over the ground, the green pitch filled row by row with worshippers — shoulder to shoulder, all ages and backgrounds, united in a single line of prayer. What is usually a place of matchday roars became, for one morning, a sea of quiet gratitude.
After the takbir and the Eid khutbah, the celebration spilled into the open air: children chased footballs across the grass, families shared embraces and sweets, and old friends reunited under a bright spring sky.
It is a day that captures everything Bexley Muslims Community stands for — faith, togetherness, and a welcome wide enough for everyone.
